چکیده
Abstract The problem of automatically discovering business process models from event logs has been intensely investigated in the past two decades, leading to a wide range approaches that strike various trade-offs between accuracy, model complexity, and execution time. A few studies have suggested accuracy automated discovery can be enhanced by means metaheuristic optimization techniques. However, these remained at level proposals without validation on real-life datasets or they only considered one isolation. This article presents framework for discovery. key idea is construct directly-follows graph (DFG) log, perturb this DFG so as generate new candidate solutions, apply DFG-based approach order derive each DFG. instantiated linking it an approach, metaheuristic, quality measure optimized (e.g., fitness, precision, F-score). considers several instantiations corresponding four metaheuristics, three (Inductive Miner—directly-follows, Fodina, Split Miner), (Markovian These instances are compared using set 20 logs. evaluation shows consistently yields visible improvements F-score all approaches, cost times minutes, versus seconds baseline approaches.

An Optimization Framework for Process Discovery Algorithms
Today there are many process mining techniques that, based on an event log, allow for the automatic induction of a process model. The process mining algorithms that are able to deal with incomplete event logs, exceptions, and noise typically have many parameters to tune the algorithm. Therefore, the user needs to select the right parameter setting using a trail-and-error approach. So far, there...

متن کاملDeep Business Optimization: A Platform for Automated Process Optimization
The efficient and effective design, execution and adaption of its core processes is vital for the success of most businesses and a major source of competitive advantage. Despite this critical importance, process optimization today largely depends on manual analytics and the ability of business analysts to spot the "right" designs and areas of improvement. This is because current techniques typi...
